Archisoccer – Häfele Cup Final

After a tumultuous year in Archisoccer results, it was now time for the final two teams to battle it out in the Häfele Cup Final.

The semi final for the Spowers was deadlocked at 0-0 after normal time and it remained so after stoppage time. So the final decider on which team would be fighting in the final for the cup was the penalty shoot out. Spowers managed to pull it through with 2 goals to 1.

On the other half of the draw it was Fender Katsalidis facing the might of CH Architects for their spot in the finals. After only 20 mins of play Fender Katsalidis led CH Architects 2-0. Unfortunately Tom Sharp of CH Architects suffered from a sudden medical condition and was rushed to hospital, which resulted in CH Architects forfeiting the match, and Fender Katsalidis got their spot in the finals.

And so it stood Spowers Architects up against Fender Katsalidis, in this years Archisoccer Häfele Cup Final. Played at Gosch’s Training oval on Thursday 3rd of April infront of a packed crowd of about 80 including pets, the scores at full time were 1-1. Extra time was played out, but to no avail, so a penalty shoot out would be the decider once again. And in this it was Fender Katsalidis who beat the Spowers (In failing light) 1-0.

The cup was followed by a presentation evening at “Holliava Bar” in Swan Street Melbourne. Where Scott Wallace proudly presented the teams with their trophy and medals.
