
Interior Design Awards - Winners Announced
Now in its seventh year, the greatly anticipated 2010 Australian Interior Design Awards were announced on Friday the 23rd of April 2010 at what is fondly known as the Industry’s night of nights.
Over 550 of the industry’s elite were present at the Awards Gala Dinner at the Sydney Town Hall for what is undoubtedly the cornerstone for discovering and recognising Australian design talent. There were 15 award categories, with the overall premier award for Interior Design Excellence and Innovation going to Dreamtime Australia Design for ‘Victor Churchill, Fine Family Butcher’ in Woollahra Sydney. In its citation, the jury noted: “This project challenges notions about retailing and the traditional idea of a butcher shop. The interior reveals a juxtaposition of old world production and contemporary theatre” Häfele was proud to sponsor the award for Emerging Interior Design Practice, awarded to Luchetti Krelle, NSW. “Luchetti Krelle’s focus on developing a strong bond with the client allows for a collaborative design process and provides a committed, personalised approach to each project. The result is unique and customised spaces that respond to client briefs and anticipate future trends.” Notable projects are: Sake Restaurant & Bar, Kings Vault Pop-Up Bar and Bootleg Bar & Italian Food.
