FUTURA POCKET DOOR FRAMING KIT

(12.07.2005) Häfele goes back to FUTURA with the introduction of its new, state-of-the-art FUTURA Pocket Door Framing System designed for the pocket-door installation of the popular HAWA Junior 40/Z and 80/Z sliding hardware.  FUTURA Pocket Door Framing Systems are specifically engineered with cold-formed, zinc-plated solid steel studs, providing even more strength, stability and reinforcement, than is currently provided by standard pocket door hardware. 

Bowing of the pocket walls is a characteristic of the past.  With FUTURA Pocket Door Framing Systems, a simple steel wrapped wood support, often associated with bowing, has been replaced with durable rippled steel reinforcement.  FUTURA Pocket Door Framing Systems simplify installation alignment conundrums by featuring a specially engineered pocket designed to accept drywall panels.  The sliding tracks are supported by FUTURA’s plywood header assembly, which eliminates warping of the header and therefore guaranteeing a smooth and quiet operation of the sliding door. Aesthetics are considered in FUTURA Pocket Door Framing System’s application; the color of the hardware frame is beautifully coordinated with its sliding track.
