Häfele Opens 31st Foreign Subsidiary in Russia

(12-20-2006) Häfele has founded a new subsidiary in Russia. Häfele Russia started business in Moscow on 1st December 2006 as the Group’s  31st foreign subsidiary, looking after its Russian customers from its new offices and with its own warehouse. In founding this new affiliate, Häfele underscores the growing importance of the Russian market. The managing director of Häfele Russia is Mladen Lovrenovic, previously head of Häfele’s agency in the Russian capital.

Häfele has been represented on the Russian market for many years by importers. The foundation of a subsidiary of its own has now created the preconditions for exploiting the potential of the Russian market better and further considerably increasing the good turnover already achieved. With a local organisation that is already well established, with market-specific products and catalogues in the language of the country, Häfele Russia has many strategic advantages on its side. At the ‘Mebel’ trade fair in Moscow, the biggest international exhibition of furniture, fittings and accessories in Eastern Europe and Russia, attracting 3,000 exhibitors from 57 countries, Häfele successfully presented itself and the latest developments in furniture fittings at the end of November.
