Euro/cup hinge adjustmentsThere are three adjustments that can be made on a European/cup cabinet door hinge. The three adjustments are: vertical, horizontal and gap.
Vertical hinge adjustment - via slots in the mounting plateWhy adjust a door up or down?- To line up a row of doors. - To adjust the gap between a door and drawer above it. - To center the door in the opening in the case of an inset door. For a complete line of hinges see our catalog.
Horizontal hinge adjustmentWhy change the horizontal adjustment?• To align with a drawer above it. • To straighten the door if the cabinet is not plumb. One hinge may be moved left and the other right, straightening the visual placement of the door. • To increase or decrease overlay on the side panel. • To center in the opening on an inset door application.
Gap adjustment (in and out) – via slots in the mounting plate. Why change the gap?• To account for the added thickness of door bumpers on the apposing edge. • To match the gap created when bumpers are installed on the draw above. • To decrease or increase the gap as desired.
