Three ways to change the overlay of a euro/cup hinge

• Change the Hinge type - Hinges differ by the degree of bend or “crank” of the arm. As the arm is bent or “cranked” the overlay of the side panel is decreased.

Inset hinge

An inset hinge has a 17 mm bend (or crank) to the hinge arm.

Half overlay hinge

A half overlay hinge has an 8mm bend or crank on the hinge arm.

Full overlay hinge

A full overlay hinge has no bend or crank to the hinge arm.

• Change the Mounting Plate type (thickness) - As the thickness of the mounting plate increases the overlay of the side panel decreases.
• Change the “TAB” (aka: Boring Distance, “K”) - As the tab increases, the overlay increases.
