Free space now also for flaps up to 15 kg
Häfele: Free space now also for flaps up to 15 kg
The cleverest connection of less and more
Free space stay flap fittings family with two new flap fittings for heavy weights up to 15 kg. With the new Free space 6.15 and Free space 5.15 push for large and very heavy flaps, the family is now complete. The compact flap fittings with minimal space requirements in the cabinet now cover all common stay flap applications.
Free space has enjoyed growing popularity among furniture manufacturers since it was launched two years ago. This is because Free space provides something unique: It creates more storage space in furniture with less volume and more power at the flap. In doing so, it sets a new standard in furniture construction. The selected marketing slogan “the cleverest connection of less and more” couldn’t be more appropriate.
Free space, Red Dot and interzum award winner
Three prestigious awards: Free space was bestowed with its first, special award with the globally high respected Red Dot Award. At interzum 2019 it was presented with the interzum award for “High Product Quality”. The third award with which the sleek, compact and also stable design of free space was presented in the “Excellent Product Design Kitchen” category.
Small and powerful for more free space
The flap fitting family can be used for a much wider range of purposes than previous fitting solutions on the market. The model series already launched on the market and available off the shelf, Free space 1.11 (load bearing capacity 1.2 to 10.7 kg with a cabinet height of up to 400 mm, five models) and Free space 1.8 push for handle-free flap fronts (load bearing capacity 1.2 to 8.3 kg with a cabinet height of up to 400 mm, four pto model types), have impressed right from the start, and have gone down with customers all over the world in an excellent way. They do not only go down very well in the classic kitchen area but also in the caravan segment, where value is placed on fitting solutions which are as small and lightweight as possible, as we well know. The manufacturers of bathroom furniture also have the delicate Free space in their sights because it can be conveniently placed behind a mirror front, for example, thus creating more storage space.
Free space 6.15 and Free space 5.15 are now celebrating their launch at the Häfele Discoveries trade fair event, which will take place online from 4th May. They round off the top of the range in the area of the large flaps. They have the same graceful appearance as the currently available series. In terms of furniture design and flap specification, they offer full freedom of design.
Many excellent arguments for Free space
The Free space flap locks reliably in any position, thanks to a spring force that can be precisely adjusted for the multi-position stop function. The convenient operation is the result of a very low opening resistance and extremely smooth running properties. The soft closing mechanism ensures soft and quiet closing of the flap thanks to an integrated mechanism tailored to the entire range of application. During installation, Free space impresses with the well-tried pin system, the fact that only one mounting screw is required, the quick locking of the front panel and the ease of handling: The perfect alignment of the front is quick and easy with a generously designed 3D adjustment mechanism. The opening angle can be limited to 90° by means of a tool-free, integrated adjustment option.
More efficiency in furniture production
The unique performance capabilities of Free space increase the degree of standardisation of furniture design, production planning, and production. Fewer versions, fewer components and therefore less transport and storage volume saves money along the entire value creation chain and therefore form the basis for an unbeatable price/performance ratio.
The Free space fittings are currently available in the standard colours of white/nickel, light grey/nickel and anthracite/nickel. A puristic Black Edition design line that fits perfectly into darker cabinet interiors extends this range.
