Archdale, North Carolina, USA, February 2, 2021 – When COVID-19 really started to hit us as a society and an industry, many began to reorient their priorities. But amidst the lockdowns, mask wearing and everything which followed, it seems like the universe of most was firmly re-centered around the home. That’s where many spent much more of their time as well as much more of their effort. And that’s also where Häfele America Co. looked to for inspiration and aspiration when building our display for the first-ever virtual 2021 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) being held February 9-12, 2021 online at kbis.com, through hafele.com with livestream tours being held each day through our company Facebook and Instagram pages.

“The challenges our industry has faced over the last year are also among our greatest opportunities,” said Paul K. Smith, president of Häfele America Co. “Whether they intended to or not, fans of Häfele products have embraced their home and all its spaces in a way we haven’t seen in quite some time — and designers experiencing our Virtual KBIS show presence will take with them solutions which match and exceed this excitement.”

Häfele’s Virtual KBIS 2021 booth display is packed with innovative LED lighting, hardware and organizational solutions which designers, architects and builders will recognize as remarkable additions to all their current and future projects. There’s something for every virtual visitor of the show — regardless of the type of work they do — to take with them from Häfele’s show presentation. From new ways to extend work spaces to freshly innovative ways to store belongings, the company offers smart solutions everywhere you turn and/or digitally navigate. Booth partners contributing to the display include industry leaders such as Bellmont Cabinets and Tailored Living.

The Work Space We All Deserve. At Home.
The way many of us work changed dramatically in 2020. And then continued into 2021. It’s time for the spaces folks have carved out in their homes for work to finally include all they need to be efficient, productive and alert. That means a space which offers surfaces to work, organization to be efficient and even a place to rest. Häfele America Co. is using the Virtual KBIS 2021 show to unveil this new way of working. The space is anchored by Häfele’s all-new Side Mounted Adjustable Table System for work and our brand new Vertical Wall Bed Mechanism for rest. This drop-down bed hardware helps maximize storage and space usability in the office. Surrounding these products are innovative ways to create more space for work — namely our Pull-Out Table Fitting with Folding Leg and Table Top Swivel Fitting — as well as many more solutions which move things, store things and charge things.

We Take it Personally
Decorative hardware is often an intensely personal, serious thing — for both the customer and the designer alike. It is for us too. That’s also one of the reasons Häfele is proud to unveil its all-new Exclusive Collection of decorative hardware at Virtual KBIS 2021. As part of the Häfele Worldwide initiative, the company requested submissions from designers around the globe. From 170 in total, 15 were selected. From there, our team at Häfele America Co. condensed the list even more based on our market needs. The result is a total of 70+ new handles and knobs which are entirely exclusive to Häfele in contemporary to transitional designs. U.S.-based designers contributing to this effort include notable industry names such as Addison Weeks, Matthew Quinn, Ken Harroff and Belwith Keeler.

Hello, Darkness My Old Friend
Combine all the colors and what do you get? Darkness and the color black. Whether it’s the new anthracite/chrome finish of Kesseböhmer products such as the Tandem Solo, LAVIDO, Base Pull-Out and Lemans II now featured in Häfele’s Virtual KBIS kitchen display or the slate finish TAG Hardware ENGAGE Closet & Organization System and Synergy Elite wardrobe fittings like shoe fences, valets, rotating pull-out mirrors and more, which fill the closet, trending finishes across projects are getting darker. These are on full display during the show.

Perfectly Open
Häfele is known around the world for offering smart solutions to sometimes complicated problems. Naturally though, we can also bring sought-after solutions to easier questions too, such as, say, what’s an easy way to add open shelving to any project? Well, the answer will being given during Virtual KBIS 2021 is the Kesseböhmer YouK Shelf System from Häfele. Designed as a system of ladders which accommodate any shelving material you choose, YouK can stand alone, be mixed and matched to turn storage into functional art or also even pair with casework. It’s innovative in its simplicity. From kitchens and bathrooms to entertainment centers, butler’s pantries and home offices, YouK ladders make open storage easy.
