2021 trends in review

1. Like the beginning of every new year, we assembled our KBIS booth with our best and most innovative products to proudly show off to anyone and everyone in the kitchen and bath industry … but unlike every year, not many people were able to view it in person. But virtual doesn’t have to mean boring. In fact, our 2021 KBIS presence was as interactive as ever. And what’s also great about a virtual trade show is the fact that our content is still available and viewable! So if you missed out on all the cool Häfele products we showcased at the 2021 Virtual KBIS trade show, you can view it right here. And be sure to stay tuned for what’s to come in 2022.

3. Moving on to the living room – where open storage is now made easier and more stylish. We showed you how awesome your entertainment center can look with the modern, custom Kesseböhmer YouK Shelf System. This sleek system of ladders can be mixed and matched on a wall – or even paired with feet to create a free-standing shelving unit. The ladders are available in different heights and depths and accommodate practically any shelving material of your choosing. Entertainment center envy = achieved.

4. To the big apple! We took a brief break from our design recommendations to show off the amazing new kitchen display in our New York City Showroom. Not only is it outfitted with our brilliant Loox5 LED Lighting System, it’s also oozing with stylish, functional, space-saving Häfele products. From in-drawer organization to blind corner and base pull-outs to innovative cabinet openings – there’s a Hӓfele solution waiting behind every door. 5. As everyone continued to hunker down at home for most of 2021 – some began to rethink the spaces they were spending a lot of time in. The garage is one of those spaces where customers were seeking better organization and more order overall. One of the ways we’re meeting that demand is with the addition of two new overhead garage storage racks. The Syzzor Loft was introduced as an option for overhead storage that you don’t need a ladder to access. This storage rack is retractable and can be lowered up to 6 ft. from the ceiling. Another option for storing items overhead is the Super Pro. Like the Syzzor Loft, this storage rack can hold up to 800 lbs. It also features support rods which can be adjusted and installed anywhere on the frame – allowing greater flexibility in application.

6. There’s a lot of different ways you can open a door. And Häfele offers a lot of sliding door hardware solutions. That’s why we took some time to show you six different ways you can go off the hinges and slide some Häfele-level style and functionality into your future projects. It would be rude to pick favorites … but seriously, what’s cooler than a floating door?! With our Häfele Exclusive Slido Design 80-M hardware – you can make a wood or glass door appear to float, rather than close. It’s also the perfect solution for any minimalist design because the track and running gear is nowhere to be found.

7. It’s nearly impossible to talk trends without bringing up the incredibly stylish, immeasurably customizable TAG Hardware Symphony Wall Mount Organizer. When we offered storage and organizational solutions for entryways – it was the frontrunner. 9. And then, we went spooky. So spooky – that we visited the darkest corners of your kitchen floor – where all those dust bunnies, dust mites and dead pet hair lives. But it was for good reason. We wanted to help you understand the amazing abilities of the Slimline Sweepovac Kitchen Vacuum. This sleek, powerful vacuum lives right in the toe kick area. All you have to do is sweep everything into a pile and activate the vacuum with the press of a button. You can even add-on an optional Extending Hose which can stretch over 18 ft. 10. Home is where the Häfele should be. A statement so nice we had to use it twice. And if you’re welcoming friends and family back into your home for the holidays – we know what you need. More surface space. Because who couldn’t use more counter space while hosting? The perfect solution is our Pull-Out Table Fitting with Folding Leg. Simply put, it’s really cool and it’s easy to use. This piece of hardware allows for an entire table to be pulled out of a space the size of a drawer. It allows you to dramatically extend your surface space and then easily reclaim your room once the party’s over.
