Build it and they will come. That doesn’t really apply during a global pandemic, but we assembled our 2021 KBIS booth anyway — equipped with our amazing products and incredible LED lighting. And one upside to an entirely virtual trade show – you can view our booth on your own time, even after the event has ended. Here’s a summary of the themes and trends featured throughout our virtual – but very real – 2021 KBIS booth.

Home Office? Hangout? Both.

It’s time for folks to feel at home in their home office. To Hӓfele America Co., that means designing a space which is smart, personalized and comfortable. The first step — a desk that adjusts to the users’ needs. Our Side Mounted Adjustable Table System can be raised, lowered and programmed to remember four different height settings. The hardware mounts to opposing panels – adding another level of personalization. When there’s a lot of work to be done — often times a lot of space is needed to make it happen. That’s where our Pull-Out Table Fitting with Folding Leg comes in. This piece of hardware allows for an entire table to be pulled out of a space the size of a drawer. And when the working day is done — or when it’s time for a midday nap — our all-new Vertical Wall Bed Mechanism is there to provide a comfortable, relaxing spot for rest. This drop-down bed hardware helps maximize storage and space usability in our office display or any project you may want to incorporate it in.

Wide open storage.

We make storing stuff in the open simple. One of our newest and easiest open shelving solutions is the Kesseböhmer YouK Shelf System. It’s a system of ladders which allows several options for customization. The ladders come in different heights and depths and accommodate any shelving material you choose. YouK looks great paired with casework and even mixed and matched on a wall in a living room, bathroom, mudroom, or wherever you want to add functional, custom open storage.

Dark finishes and colors are on display throughout Hafele’s 2021 KBIS booth. In the kitchen. In the closet. On the walls. In the drawers. Finishes across projects are getting darker – and our products are perfectly on trend. Our kitchen display features the new anthracite/chrome finish of Kesseböhmer products such as the Tandem Solo and LAVIDO Pantry Pull-Out. Dark, slate finish is everywhere you look in our closet display thanks to TAG Hardware’s matching ENGAGE Closet & Organization System, as well as its Synergy Elite matching wardrobe fittings. And whether it’s dishes in the kitchen or tools in the garage, our collection of darker shade Non-Slip Mats in canvas and weave texture help keep those items inside drawers secure and in place.

Topping it all off and bringing it all together is our brand new Exclusive Collection of decorative hardware. We worked with world famous designers to bring together a new collection of decorative hardware like never before. A Häfele Worldwide initiative — which resulted in an exclusive set of more than 70 new handles and knobs ranging from contemporary to transitional designs. The collection is made up of mostly matt and muted finishes like matt black, matt gold, brushed bronze and brushed nickel. U.S.-based designers contributing to this effort include notable industry names such as Addison Weeks, Matthew Quinn, Ken Harroff and Belwith Keeler.
