Häfele's Return Policy/Process

Häfele America Co. will accept most customer returns within 90 days of purchase. Return freight cost is the responsibility of the customer. All products (regardless of age) must be in good, resellable condition and in original, complete packaging. All returns must be authorized in advance by Customer Service.

A restock charge is applied to returns which are determined to be customer errors. The restock charges are as follows:

All approved returns will be credited as follows:

  • 1 to 30 days after original invoice date will be credited, less a 20% restock fee or $20 (whichever is greater)
  • 31 to 60 days after original invoice date will be credited, less a 30% restock fee or $30 (whichever is greater)
  • 61 to 90 days after original invoice date will be credited, less a 40% restock fee or $40 (whichever is greater)
  • Requests for returns greater than 90 days after original invoice date will not be authorized.


Special/Custom/Direct: These orders are NOT returnable unless the product is defective or Häfele America Co. has made an error in processing the order.

Product older than 90 days cannot be returned.

Packing & Shipping Your Return: All customer returns must be pre-approved through Häfele’s Customer Service department and documentation included with the item being returned. All goods returned to Häfele must be in the original packaging, in resalable condition and must pass inspection before any credit is issued by Häfele. Whenever possible, we recommend using an external shipping carton to minimize potential damages to your return.
