About the Job

 

The Project Engineer will provide engineering and design support to manage projects and new product developments. About the Job
The Project Sales Coordinator is the key liaison between customer/sales and the internal Project Sales team. TRAVEL

Technical Project Coordinators may be responsible for large geographic areas.

About the Job

The Territory Sales Representative (TSR) travels within the defined territory promoting Häfele hardware (cabinet and architectural) to manufacturers, designers, engineers and architects. The focus is on sales and support to existing customers and specifiers as well as the development of prospective customers and specifiers.
 

What will be Expected of You

Develop and maintain a detailed sales and support plan for the territory.

Maintain consistent contact with customers to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Prepare price quotations and write orders subject to approval by Häfele Management.

This database should include all major principles, department managers, various influencers and decision makers in the product placement and sales process. This overview should take on a template form and include as much relevant data as necessary to capture views of the customers market/channel segment, market approach, financial position and relevant logistics necessary to support the account.
  • The KAM collaborates closely with the local subsidiaries’ project teams, when servicing Hotel Chain, Investor, Management Company and Operator Key Accounts.
  • The KAM effectively shares knowledge with the other HIPO offices, global teams for each hotel chain, other global group functions (e.g. category management) and subsidiaries’ project teams. The KAM involves, motivates and coordinates the global project teams for these projects. OneCRM is a key tool in this process.
  • The KAM makes use of his/her deep knowledge in order to establish new business opportunities, set up and coordinate a strategy per hotel chain and to place the relevant products in room books, listings and specifications under consideration of the country-specific requirements. The KAM manages initiatives and collaboration according to the Häfele 6-phases model.
  • The KAM is the Häfele face to his/her key account customers, deepens existing relationships and establishes new contacts via networking and customer management.
  • The KAM collaborates with his/her customers in order to increase value for both Häfele and the key account customer.
  • The KAM continuously assesses the current product sales with focus on item forecasting, sales revenue, and gross profit expectations and establishes detailed plans for target products to be introduced, including sales goals for each account.
  • The KAM has budget and turnover responsibility for his/her key accounts.

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Häfele Key Account Manager provides effective leadership at the account level with regards to company image, internal policies and ethical business practices. He/she conducts his/her self with the highest level of integrity and personal ethics and is accountable for his/her behavior as it is perceived by the client and the marketplace.

The KAM maintains a schedule of frequent customer visits which includes opportunities for new product introduction, updating of customer forecasts, review of current and future product purchases and gathering of significant market information and trends. He/she promotes “partnering” relationship to meet both Häfele Worldwide and customer expectations with regard to product positioning and market penetration.

The KAM manages relationships with key decision makers of the specified key accounts. He/she coordinates support and service of account with Häfele Worldwide service departments and leverages customer relationships to include additional Häfele personnel at key positions. He/she provides opportunities for Häfele management to participate in customer meetings, product development teams, and strategic marketing teams; constantly broadening the relationship “circle” with a focus increasing our internal knowledge base and experience within the customer and segment.

The KAM works closely with Category Management to identify new product opportunities, new market requirements and provides relevant market information to support modifications to existing products. In addition, the KAM supports these group functions in ensuring that items needed for strategic accounts are stocked at appropriate levels and any supply chain issues are identified and communicated internally and externally with the account.

He/she must achieve a high level of coordination and communication with the Häfele Worldwide organization. The KAM must have superior verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively report on account and market activities and engage internal resources and personnel as supported by Häfele management.

The KAM provides a written report on a monthly basis which is shared internally and externally with Häfele management.

He/she supports other sales groups through sales training assistance and coaching as requested by Häfele management and organizes or assists in the organization of seminars or other customer related functions, using appropriate Häfele resources and personnel in the performance of such functions.

The KAM maintains and enhances Häfele Worldwide corporate image and reputation, protects and develops the company’s brand via Sales/Marketing activities and intellectual property management. He/she participates in various aspects of internal product strategy including product application, market pricing, and collection of relevant market data to assist in future product strategies and surveys the marketplace for competitive products and builds a competitive database which compares various Häfele America products with equivalent competitive products.

The KAM attends national and international industry trade shows and association meetings to gather market information and reports findings to Häfele Worldwide management.

He/she manages and reports on a travel and expense budget on a monthly basis.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no direct supervisory responsibilities, however the KAM may be responsible for coaching and mentoring duties (as requested) with other members of the Häfele Worldwide sales force.

TRAVEL

  • Key Account Managers are responsible for large geographic areas.
  • Training for Key Account Managers will occur in appropriate locations at Häfele offices and/or other appropriate locations.
  • Working with key account customers and related decision makers will require frequent trips for presentations and support.
  • All limiting factors for travel must be agreed prior to hiring.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience in the Hardware or Hospitality Industry and/or 5 years of prior Sales/Marketing experience to hotel chains and related decision makers. Prefer: College Degree or higher.

The KAM must have demonstrated success in the development of accounts with $100,000 or more in sales per year. 

INTERCULTURAL, COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Ability to work very well in a team and based on achieving the team goals. Ability to communicate and collaborate in an intercultural surrounding with colleagues and stakeholders in different countries around the world. Be able to communicate strategically.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
The KAM must have a high degree of both product knowledge and technical proficiency. Additionally, the KAM must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings and industry language, financial reports and legal documents.      

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probable statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. A familiarity with finance and accounting principles is helpful. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions based on same data. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must understand concepts relating to profitability, contribution margin, and internal costs which influence product sales price.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to utilize digital and communication equipment for organization, information storage and retrieval, familiarity and skills in common computer programs including OneCRM, Outlook, Work, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet Explorer and Windows operating and file systems.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

About the Job
The primary duties for the Regional Director are the development and implementation of Sales Strategies, as well as the effective management of direct reports. As such, this position drives the direct sales, builds deep client relationships with major influencers and users, and oversees the implementation and execution of our sales strategies, all to ensure the attainment of regionally focused objectives. 

He or she plans, directs and controls the sales and business activities for the region to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives, as well as prepares quarterly and annual forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential. The Regional Director is responsible for the implementation of marketing programs and the staffing requirements to ensure customer and corporate satisfaction, and directs staffing, training and performance evaluations.                  


|What Will Be Expected of You

Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop optimum region results.  Allocate sales personnel to ensure achievement of company sales and profit goals. Rewards and disciplines direct reports; addresses complaints and resolves problems.

Coordinate sales activities by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals.  Advise customers and sales representatives concerning sales and marketing programs and works to ensure their success.

Oversee, in conjunction with the Marketing Communications Manager, all branding and marketing activities associated with local and partner showrooms.

Coach direct reports to develop understanding of brand image and to ensure consistent representation of the brand in customer interactions and execution of sales strategies

Identify, recruit, and close direct work with major customers and projects

In coordination with Product and Program Managers, provide annual sales, profit, and personnel plan to upper management for approval.

Work closely with marketing managers to execute defined programs and to achieve agreed upon goals within the region.

Review sales and marketing reports to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates, and recommend/ develop sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.

Recommend product improvements and additions to identify growth opportunities in product line.

Represent company at trade shows and association meetings.

Establish and maintain uniform operating procedures for regional activities.

Control regional and departmental cost efficiency.

Attend staff meetings at the request of senior management.


Supervisory Responsibilities   
Manage sales employees and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the assigned region.  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Direct reports may include: Dealer Sales Representative, Specification Sales Representative, Territory Sales Representative, Key Account Representative, Technical Showroom Sales, and Showroom Staff                


Education and/or Experience
The successful candidate must have strong management experience, preferably in the woodworking industry.

Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated successful relevant sales management experience.  Advance degree preferred.  Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation and presentation skills.  Must have experience creating and implementing annual sales budgets and forecasts.  Candidate must demonstrate business acumen and knowledge of sales processes as well as strong leadership and decision-making abilities.   Ability to organize and maximize information on sales leads and integrate this information into the strategic sales plan.
