Now accommodating even larger, heavier doors, cabinet doors without handles and standard applications – the Häfele Free Space line is at its strongest and most versatile. At the 2022 International Woodworking Fair (IWF), Häfele will showcase two new additions to the Free Space Family: 1.8 Push-to-Open and 6.15 HD, in addition to the founding Free Space 1.11 Lift-Up Fitting.

Requiring a shallow installation depth of just 2 7/8”, the all-new Free Space 6.15 HD is less than half an inch wider than the original Free Space 1.11 lift-up fitting, yet can handle a flap weight difference of 14 lbs. – with the ability to lift a maximum panel weight of about 56 lbs.

Adding a push-to-open option with the new Free Space 1.8 push allows for even greater flexibility in design and cabinet construction – eliminating the need for furniture handles. Now cabinets can be opened effortlessly with the simple tap of a finger.

Altogether, the Free Space family is stronger, faster, more compact and more efficient than any flap fitting range of its kind. Free Space gives cabinet doors a smooth and silent operation and features integrated soft close, all with a clean design. The sleek appearance and extremely slim shape of the fitting creates additional storage space inside the cabinet and, when opened, allows more freedom to move outside of the cabinet. Free Space also cuts down on installation time and mounts with just one pre-mounted screw.
